Back in 2005, we needed a name for the company that Kerry wanted to start to provide HR Consulting services. We thought it should also be able to provide the property management services that I was doing at the time. Tarlov Consulting was born. We thought that consulting was a catchall name.
“What sort of consulting do you do?” is what most people would ask us. We would then tell them about HR, and property management. The time, however, wasn’t right for us to go out on our own. Kerry worked for a contractor, and times had never been better. Her dream would have to be put on hold.
Kerry left the contractor in 2009 and came to work for me at my family’s mobile home park. By the summer of 2010, she knew that it wasn’t where she wanted to retire. We started asking people what they thought of the business model we wanted to execute. We had positive reviews from everyone we told. The time was right.
In November of 2010 we incorporated, found our first couple of clients and haven’t looked back.
We learned a lot from the experience, and we’ll try and share some of that on this blog. We hope you get something useful from it.
If you have questions about what we do, give us a call. We’d love to talk to you.
